COCKSY'S FISHING RULES

Although the full details and official rules will be dropped into your email prior to the event, here are the three Cocksy Fishing Commandments:

RESPECT

Respect the ocean on every level - always.

Be prepared for anything mother nature throws at you.

Look out for each other on and under the water at all times.

No waste - only take back what is allowed.

FISHING

On and under the water, do shit right - Cocksy was a total sheriff in this area.

Give it a go where you can - participants can fish from land or sea by either hook or spear.

Show off your angling and diving mojo but NO longlines, nets or craypots.

BANTER

Fishing & diving should be fun - always.

Like Cocksy, the judge reserves the right to amend the rules without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever, at their sole discretion. It’s all about moving goal posts ;-)

The judges decision is final and rules may be flexible depending on the size of the bribes.

PRIZEGIVING

PRIZES
Prize giving will be held at D'Urville Island Wilderness Resort. Although prizes are part of this event, they should not be the reason people attend. Unashamedly, it is made loud and clear that participation in this comp is NOT about "what's in it for you", it's about "what we can raise for the kids".

For the big kahuna of prizes - "The Golden Fleece", there is no "one" individual winner, like a good rugby match, it comes down to a "team effort". In the spirit of the yellow jersey concept, it is a team that is awarded the coveted "Golden Fleece". A status that is fiercely contended and comes with a years worth of bragging rights.
